The preceding resonates with me. Exercise aside, I find that I do some of my best thinking on the bike.

After riding extensively as a boy, I resumed cycling in 2006, riding a hybrid up and down the Santa Fe Trail near Colorado Springs. In 2009, I bought my first road bike, after some encouragement from my friend Kirk. It quickly became a serious hobby of mine.
